B.Tech./B.E. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) /
Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) Examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.

Candidates must have studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with one of the following:
- Chemistry
- Computer Science
- Electronics
- Information Technology
- Biology
- Informatics Practices
- Biotechnology
- Technical Vocational Subject
- Agriculture
- Engineering Graphics
- Business Studies
- Entrepreneurship
- Candidates must have obtained at least 45% aggregate marks in Physics, Mathematics, and one of the above-listed subjects.
- For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories of Madhya Pradesh, the minimum required aggregate marks are 40%.
Admission Process
Counseling and seat allotment are conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh through the MP Online centralized counseling process. Candidates must register and participate in the counseling as per the schedule notified by DTE.

B.Tech./B.E. (LET) Direct Admission in 3rd Semester |
B.Tech./B.E. (Lateral Entry) – Direct Admission to 3rd Semester
Educational Qualifications
Candidates seeking direct admission to the 3rd Semester (Lateral Entry) of the
B.Tech./B.E. program must satisfy any one of the following eligibility criteria:
1. Diploma Holders
- Must have passed a 3-year regular Engineering Diploma or 2-year Engineering Diploma (through Lateral Entry) in any branch of Engineering/Technology from an institute/university recognized by AICTE, COA, or UGC, or from a foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), or an institution recognized as equivalent by the concerned university.
- Must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying diploma examination.
- For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories of Madhya Pradesh, the minimum required aggregate marks are 40%.
OR
2. B.Sc. Graduates
- Must have passed a B.Sc. Degree from a UGC-recognized university with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
- Must have studied Mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level.
- For candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories of Madhya Pradesh, the minimum required aggregate marks are 40%.
Admission Process
Counseling and seat allotment are conducted by the
Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh
through the MP Online centralized counseling process.
Candidates must register and participate in the counseling as per the schedule notified by DTE.

M.Tech. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Technology (M.Tech.) program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in the relevant branch of Engineering/Technology from a recognized institution.
- The qualifying degree must be of minimum four years’ duration and obtained from:
- An AICTE-approved institution or a recognized Indian University.
- A foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- An institution recognized as equivalent by the AIU.
- An Institute of National Importance, such as IITs, IISc, NITs, or other institutions recognized by the Ministry of Education (formerly MHRD).
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of Madhya Pradesh).
Additional Eligibility
- Candidates holding an MCA or M.Sc. degree may also be eligible for admission to specified M.Tech. Specializations as notified by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Government of Madhya Pradesh.
- Such candidates must have secured:
- 50% aggregate marks (General Category), or
- 45% aggregate marks (SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of Madhya Pradesh).
Important Notes
- Candidates appearing in the final year/semester of the qualifying degree examination may apply provisionally. However, they must produce the original passing certificate and mark sheet showing the required aggregate marks at the time of counseling.
- Candidates who have passed with grace marks are eligible for admission; however, grace marks shall not be considered while calculating the minimum required percentage.
- Rounding off of marks or percentage is not permitted.
- Candidates whose qualifying examination follows a grading system must produce an official grade-to-percentage conversion certificate/formula issued by the concerned university.
- The list of eligible undergraduate qualifications and MCA/M.Sc.-eligible M.Tech. Specializations will be available on the official counseling website.

MCA Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Computer Applications (MCA) program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Must have passed a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 years’ duration in any discipline such as B.E./B.Tech., B.Sc., B.Com., B.A., B.Voc., BCA, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
- Mathematics must have been studied either at the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) level or at the Graduation level.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates of Madhya Pradesh).
- The qualifying degree must be obtained from a UGC/AICTE-approved Indian University, a foreign university recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), or an institution recognized as equivalent by the concerned university.
- Candidates without a Mathematics background, wherever applicable, will be required to complete bridge courses as prescribed by the respective university.
Domicile Requirement
Admission to seats reserved under the Madhya Pradesh domicile quota shall be governed by the domicile rules prescribed by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.

MBA Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates seeking admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program must fulfill the following eligibility requirements:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 2 years’ duration in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Must have secured a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of Madhya Pradesh norms).
- Admission may also be based on the candidate’s CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) score, as per the applicable admission guidelines.

Diploma Polytechnic Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Applicants must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission to the
Diploma Engineering Program:
1. Regular Entry (3-Year Diploma)
- Candidates must have passed the Class 10 (Secondary) Examination or its equivalent from a recognized board such as MPBSE, CBSE, ICSE, or any other recognized board.
- Mathematics and Science must have been studied as compulsory subjects in Class 10.
2. Lateral Entry (2-Year Diploma)
Candidates are eligible for direct admission to the Second Year of the Diploma program if they have:
- Successfully completed a 2-year ITI course from a recognized institution, or
- Passed the Class 12 (10+2) Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board.
This eligibility allows qualified candidates to join the Diploma program directly in the
Second Year under the Lateral Entry Scheme.
